Uses in the Classroom:
-a visual combination of the power of the computer and the simplicity of a whiteboard
-interactive: great for presenting and collaborating
-can be used to teach any and all subjects
Advantages
-eliminates trips from the board to the computer
-easy to use
-energizes presentations
-motivates learners (grabs and maintains attention)
-provides easy accomodation for students with auditory or visual problems
-gives students a chance to interact and participate in the lesson as it is being taught
-where our technology is headed
Disadvantages
-needs introduction for all participants
-expensive- not available for every classroom
-one must be careful not to leave their back side to those they are trying to teach while using a smart board
